Drums of War IV
April 12- 14, 2013
Canton of Baelfire Dunn

The drums in the distance can once again be heard…..
It is late in 1323 and the peasants of Flanders have begun a series of scattered riots. Soon a full-scale rebellion will break loose over excessive taxes levied by the Count of Flanders, Louis I, and his pro-French policies. While the nobility sip their wine and enjoy their parties, the peasants prepare for their assault. In order to protect the populace, a local Seneschal, Till Campbell, attempted to raise the moneys needed to pay some of the taxes, and thus save his populace from the burden. Unsuccessful in his endeavors, he now stands in chains as the Count’s message to the people: “Do not fail to pay your taxes”.   His execution has been scheduled. Will the populace be able to save him from this ignoble fate?
