Skewered returns this year with the Spring! Help us welcome back warmer weather with a Spring Festival! Come dance around the maypole, or demonstrate an art or science at the Crafter’s Green. For those martially inclined, raise your weapon of choice in archery, rapier, and thrown weapons! The Shire will be running a lunch feast again, so come hungry! Feast: | Feast will be served at lunch time. All activities will be paused for lunch. Dishes are Pies of Parys (contains pork), Mushroom pie (vegetarian), Carrot salad (vegan, gluten- free), Strawberye (vegetarian, contains wine & almonds), Excellent small cakes (vegetarian, contains sherry), Prince bisket (vegetarian). Merchanting: | Merchants are welcome and should reach out to the Event Steward, Adelaide Half Pint to coordinate. | ||||||||||||||||||||
Other: | Event site is fairly primitive and located in a quiet, tree- surrounded field. Site access road is gravel. All roads on site are gravel. Parking lot is in a grass field. ADA accessible port-a-john will be centrally located to supplement further away flushing toilets. Feast pavilion is accessible via gravel road/path. Pavilion is paved. Site is half level and half on a hill. Archery and thrown weapons activities are located down the grassy hill. Arts and sciences activities are on the hill but close to the level gravel road. An apiary housing European honeybees is on site at the far end of the parking area. The bees are very docile, but caution is still advised. | ||||||||||||||||||||

Registration Notes: | Event pre-registration will be available on SCORES. Pre- registration can also be mailed to the Reservationist, Kat Zamboni, and must be postmarked by May 1st, 2024. Attendees can also register at the door with cash or check. Requests for refund for pre- paid admission charges to the event shall be sent to the Seneschal and/or Exchequer in writing via email within five (5) days of the end of the event. Feast fees can not be refunded because materials are already purchased. | ||||||||||||||||||||
